Summer Camp

Girls Inc. Summer Camp is back!  This summer we are offering 9 weeks of summer fun in

Pickering, Whitby, Brooklin, North Oshawa and Oshawa for girls ages 6 to 16!

Camp runs weekly, Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with before and after care available for an additional fee. Using intentional and compensatory programming, girls are free to express themselves through hands-on activities, games and theme days.

Youth ages 13 to 16 are invited to be a part of our Counsellor In Training (CIT) programming, where they will build on their leadership skills and work within a small group of their peers. Girls will have a chance to co-facilitate with their peers, learn from their mentors and gain self-confidence.

Through our Summer Camp Programming girls/youth have the opportunity to engage in innovative, research-based programs that provide girls/youth with unique, non-traditional learning opportunities. At Girls Inc. we promote learning by doing. Our programs engage girls/youth and encourage them to participate and learn through action. The Girls Inc. experience offers programming that is age-appropriate and with objectives and methods tailored to address the specific needs of the age group being served. Our programming enables girls/youth to experience sports and other physical activities, involves them in science, math, and technology projects and introduces them wherever possible to non-traditional career options. All programs serve girls/youth from diverse backgrounds with varying abilities in an integrated and safe way. We dedicate our work to creating a positive, safe and brave space. Staff and volunteers actively promote the development of a positive self-concept in each girl/youth. We strive to meet each girl/youth where they are at.

We encourage girls /youth to take positive risks and to have fun!
