October 3rd—24th: Leadership and Community Action— Girls learn how to be an advocate for important causes in the community and practice using their leadership voice to impact positive change. October is ‘Women's History Month’, where we will explore influential women throughout history and on October 18th, ‘Persons Day’, we will celebrate human rights.
November: All are welcome to walk with Girls Inc. at the Whitby Santa Clause Parade.
December 5th—December 19th: Media Literacy! — Girls will learn to critically analyze and navigate media messages while forming independent thinking strategies.
January 9th—January 30th: GirlSTART Literacy Program — Girls learn about the power of language and reading, while we discuss the value of education through compensatory, empowering stories.

March 6th-March 27th: Mind+Body — Helping young women navigate stress in a healthy, constructive, and safe ways. Guiding girls towards the formation of positive coping mechanisms and resiliency; including positive body image, self-esteem, and self-efficacy. March 8th is ‘International Women's Day’, this month we will recognize women's progress in securing equal human rights.
May 1st-May 29th: Operation Smart (STEM) — Girls will actively participate in fun, innovative activities based in science, math, engineering, technology, and economics. Girls will learn to plan for an independent future, while they explore career paths in diverse fields and gain new skills to grow confident in STEM studies.
