Thank you for making our 6th Annual Girls Day Out! a great success!

Our Annual Girls Day Out play day fundraiser was a great way to spend a day; filled with memories, knowledge, fun and laughter. This year’s turnout consisted of over 120 moms, daughters, sisters and girlfriends all coming out to enjoy the day. All proceeds raised from the event went to fund programming for Durham girls.

The Girls Day Out included many fabulous courses, such as: Quick and Easy Hors d'oeuvres for the busy woman facilitated by Pilar Carr; Martini Making and Art of Cocktails class faciliatted by Elizabeth Mealey; Jewelry making with Tara Bergeron from Soul Xpression; and some of our ladies dipped their way into delicious chocolate making with Margaret Campbell from That Chocolate Shop on Maple just to name a few.

The fabulous day also included a wonderful guest speaker Martine Robinson as our Guest Principal for the day. Some creative vendors were on hand to sell and display their unique wares and services, and our Silent Auction and Raffles raised over $2,500 and created a lot of fun and excitement too.
